Filing Deadline for Indian Trails Library District Board of Trustees Positions:

 

 

Prospective candidates for the Indian Trails Public Library District Board of Trustees may file nominating papers at the library beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012, and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. The dates and hours for filing will be December 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 26, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


On the first day of filing, all prospective candidates waiting in line at the library’s normal opening time of 9:00 a.m. are considered simultaneous filers, along with petitions received in the first mail delivery of that day. Petitions received by the library prior to the first day of the filing period will be returned to the sender. Petitions received after the end of the filing period will not be accepted, regardless of postmark.


The order of names on the ballot is determined by a public lottery from among the simultaneous filers, which, if required, will take place on December 17, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the library’s administrative offices. The names of subsequent filers are added to the ballot in order of the date and time of their filing. The Consolidated Election will take place on April 9, 2013. All open positions are for four year terms, and commence on May 15, 2013.
